言うことをきかない、頑固だ、怠け者だと叱る前に、私をそうさせる何かがないか、思い起こしてみて下さい。
ひょっとしたら、適切な食餌をあげていなかったのでは？炎天下、屋外に長時間放置していたのでは？
私の心臓が年をとるにつれて弱ってきているのではないだろうか？と。。。
9. Take care of me when I get old; you, too, will grow old.
私が年老いてもどうかお世話をして下さい。。。私達はお互いに、同じように歳をとるのです。
10. Go with me on difficult journeys. Never say, "I can't bear to watch it, or, "Let it happen in my absence." Everything is easier for me if you are there. Remember, I love you.
最期のお別れの時には、どうか私のそばにいて見送ってください。
「見ていることに耐えられない」とか「私の居ないところで逝かせてあげて」なんて 言わないで欲しいのです 。
貴方がそばにいてくれるなら、私は、どんなことも安らかに受け入れます。
そして...どうか忘れないでください、 私が貴方を愛していることを。
